CAMPUS
Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa senior secondary school is a composite institution consisting of faculties of Science, Commerce and humanities. It has separate middle, high and senior secondary Wings. The Campus also has within its premises a Gurudwara, Computer Lab, Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Biology Lab, Mathematics lab, Social studies Lab, N.C.C Room and a well-equipped library. It has sprawling playgrounds including volleyball, football, hockey, cricket and badminton playgrounds. The greenery is spread everywhere.
DIVINITY
The Religious minded founders of the school attached highest importance to the study of religion and cultivation of moral values among the students. The school imparts regular guidelines to the students. The students participate in the celebration of the Gurpurab and religious functions.
The new session always begins with the ‘Ardaas’ to seek blessing of the Almighty, Examinations in divinity are hold periodically. It is mandatory for Sikh students to wear turban. “Nagar Kirtan” on the eve of Guru Nanak’s Birthday is a salient feature of the school since 1917. A medical camp is conducted every year on Guru Gobind Singh ‘s Avtarpurab. All the students and staff members participate enthusiastically.
Science Lab:-
Theory is incomplete without practical. One needs to get completely involved in the various practical experiments to get thorough knowledge and understanding of what had been taught in the theory class. Science students are encouraged to use the facilities for enhancing their innovative and scientific skills.
Computer Lab:-
Information technology has become an integral part of life. We have Fully- equipped computer lab with about 20 computers. We have qualified teachers for assisting students to search for information ,learn computer language, create multimedia presentations, execute project work etc.
Library:-
The library is an integral part of every education institution. It is a storehouse of Knowledge. The school has provided students a library equipped with Latest books, newspapers & magazines.
The library of our school is spacious and well furnished. There are about two thousand books on different subjects. We have a library period in our weekly Time-Table.Students can borrow books from the library and return them after a week.
Drinking Water:-
Proper arrangements for safe and hygienic uninterrupted water supply. Water coolers provide purified cold water in summer.
Uninterrupted Power Supply:-
Uninterrupted Power Supply with noiseless Generator.
Canteen :-
The School has well furnished canteen in the campus .It provides hygienic snacks and beverages.
Sanitation:-
Adequate separate washrooms for boys and girls and for staff.
Play Ground:-
Along with academics, physical fitness is given importance .We have a large, well maintained playground for students to play Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Kho-Kho&Various events of Athletics.
Religious Activities, Cultural and Other Activities:-
For overall development, we lay emphasis on activities like declamation, debate, poetical recitation, quiz competition, essay writing. To promote the spirit of Sikhism among the students, Divinity and Moral Science subjects are taught. Many of our students participated in various competitions like Shabad Gayan,Gurbani Kanth,Gurbani Recitation and Religious Examinations conducted by Sikh Missionary College and other organizations.
