In the beginning of my message, I wish to express my gratitude to a great personality who had awakened and discovered the latent strength in him and utilized it for the development of our children. Hon’ble founder Chairman S. Teja Singh Samundri, a visionary who visualized the golden dream of building a great school in 1917. The hard work and commitment shown by him has helped the school to scale unprecedented heights resulting in the upcoming of chain of five schools and colleges in this rural area. At present his grandson Hon’ble President S. Jasjit Singh Samundri, is working hard with sincere dedication and perseverance to further strengthen the project. Heartfelt appreciations to you sir and we hope that you will continue to work with such motivation and dedication in future also. Hence I feel proud while working as a Principal in this Institution.
At Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa Public High School, we believe in the concept of lifelong learning and the idea that both adults and children learn new things every day. We maintain that learning should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone. Through our teaching, we aim to equip children with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to be able to make informed choices about the important things in their life. We believe that people learn best in different ways so we aim to provide a positive and varied learning environment that allows children to develop their skills and abilities to their full potential.
When teaching, we focus on motivating the children and building their skills, knowledge and understanding of the curriculum. We use the school curriculum plan to guide our teaching. This is on a one year rolling programme to ensure coverage of all curriculum areas for all children, and will be adopted as necessary by teachers according to the age variation within the class. We plan our lessons with clear learning objectives and we evaluate all lessons so that we can modify and improve our teaching in the future.
We value our good working relationship with our children and their parents. We treat the children with kindness and respect. We treat them fairly and give them an equal opportunity to take part in class activities. Our staff follows the School behaviour and Discipline Policies. We set and agree with children, the class code of conduct and expect all children to comply with these rules that we jointly devise to promote the best learning opportunities for all. We praise children for their efforts and, by so doing, we help to build positive attitudes towards school and learning. We ensure that all tasks and activities that the children do are safe. Our classrooms provide attractive learning environments. All our teachers reflect on their strengths and weaknesses and plan their professional development needs accordingly. We organise various workshops for teachers so as to support our staff in developing their skills, so that they can continually improve their practice.
wish very best for my students and expect sincerity for profession from my Teachers. Let’s work together and improve our teaching in future as well.
With best regards,
